MODULE 8. UNFOLDING THE FUTURE SELF As we understand ourselves, there are times we look forward on the different factors in our life. We look unto our past, in our present and we look forward to our future. As said by Soren Kierkegard, “ life that can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forward ”. According to this quote, we can move forward even if we look back in our past. We should move forward because our past is life lessons or experiences that we should keep. Zimbardo made a theory that explains how human likely to sort or categorize their experience. These are five (5) time perspective: Present-hedonistic, present-fatalistic, past-positive, past-negative, and future-oriented.
